HIS SERVANTS

His Servants became a group in January of 2003.  It is now a duet with Virgil and Sharon Tawney.  This is Virg`s first southern gospel group, although he has been singing most of his life.  Sharon has been singing since she was eight years old, right after being saved.  She first sang with her sister, Cheryl, as a duet when they were young children along with their parents` group, "The Havenaires," from the age of 8 until the age of 15, when she became a member of "The Havenaires" until that group retired in 1974.  Sharon continued to sing, creating a group with her husband, Steve Miller, first as "The Pathfinders" and then as "The Overcomers" as personnel changed.  When Steve died in 1995, Sharon sang solo for over three years, then sang with "Jordan River" for a year and "The Master`s Voice" for three years until it disbanded in 2002.  Sharon and her present husband, Virg, started "His Servants" in 2003, just a few months after they got married.  Others have sang with the group to create a trio, the most recent being Sharon`s sister, Cheryl, for six years. His Servants are now back to being a duet. They love singing for the Lord and hope that their ministry is a blessing and encouragement to all who hear. With this much experience singing and praising the Lord, you know they HAVE to be called!!!
